How to get from Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Vietnam to Phnom Penh, Cambodia by bus.

We used Giant Ibis, even though they are a few dollars more they make the experience super comfortable and smooth!

Getting your visa is super easy on the border!

  1. Thanks guys I will be traveling as you did by bus in Dec just wanted to ask is the visa you got valid for all nationalities ? So i do not have to get a e-visa before hand?

  2. On the UK government website it says a 30 day tourist visa is free for cambodia, do you think that's wrong or has it maybe changed since you went? Bit confused if anyone could help me out!

  3. there is no way id hand over my passport to anyone other than immigration authorities. i just very little trust for anyone in those places

  4. I just arrived in Phnom Penh for 1 month, my bf is franco-khmer, i would be so glad to see ya ! We never know what could happen ! Enjoy 😀

  5. 35$? thats the E visa or regularvisa, not the touristvisa wich is only 30$,or they gave you the wrong visa (wich is no problem)or they scammed you both 5$ each.did this trip on the thai side in poipet like 5 days because i live here i have to prolong my regular visa for a year into a retirementvisa.a touristvisa can only be proplonged for 1 month.

  6. I bussed from Ho Chi Minh City to Sihanoukville through Phnom Penh in one day, and it was exhausting! I would definitely break it up if I did it again. Great video as always!

  7. Just to clarify, do you give your passport directly to the immigration authorities to or the bus staff? The reason I ask Is because I've heard of some scammers at the border who work on the buses, take your passport, stamp it with a fake stamp and steal identities while they have your passport in their possession.

  8. This video is so helpful! me and my boyfriend are heading on a trip around southeast Asia next year and I was so worried about doing this exact bus journey but now I know how easy it is I can't wait! love all your videos!!!

  9. We flew into Cambodia, but right into Siem Reap. Our immigration process was a bit of a pain, just because there were so many people on the plane, it took a long time to get through such a tiny airport haha. But Cambodia is so beautiful, and I miss Angkor beer! Cheap, and pretty good!

  10. We used Giant Ibis and found it to be good. I would definitely recommend spending the extra couple dollars and choose them. I found it fascinating how as soon as your over the Cambodian border it is FULL of casinos 🙂

  11. I went on the bus from phenom penh to HCM so opposite route! Was quite cool, and no so bad, although I was quite shocked on the poverty you see on route 😢

  12. I hope you'll go to Siem Reap. I would love to hear your thoughts on the place. I will be going early next year so it will be a lot of help. Have fun, ciao!

  13. This almost seems to easy! Whenever I go through customs and no one turns a gun on me I always think that they're going to at any time while I'm in the country… it's literally mental but idk brain n stuff.
